Nordic Noir, April 14, 2018

posted in: Events, News 0

Join us at the Swedish American Museum on April 14th for a festive dinner catered by Tre Kronor and a fascinating program on “Nordic Noir”, Swedish Crime Fiction, by Mary Seeger, SAHS board member. As a genre, Scandinavian crime fiction has become immensely popular over recent decades and continues to attract new authors and devoted readers—captivated by a literature that engages the pulse of contemporary society and confronts its many social challenges. Dr. Seeger, an avid reader and astute critic, will bring her insights to bear on Swedish crime novels, reviewing their background and selected authors, giving guidance to WHY and HOW and WHO we might read.  Having missed the opportunity to hear from Dr. Seeger in October 2017, we are delighted that we can again feature this program in April.
